This Apex Extended Control Set is a direct drop-in replacement for your Springfield Hellcat or Hellcat Pro. It includes an extended magazine release, an extended slide lock lever, and an extended takedown lever. Each component is machined from steel and heat-treated for a lifetime of service. Real-world benefits for CCW and range use: The extended magazine release adds .065″ of reach compared to the factory part. This allows you to drop a spent magazine without shifting your grip. The extended slide lock lever adds .050″ for more leverage when locking the slide back or releasing it during reloads. The extended takedown lever adds .020″ for a slightly larger surface area when field stripping. These are modest but meaningful increases that improve speed and reliability without adding bulk.

Holster compatibility: Apex worked with four US-based holster manufacturers during development. All reported that the extended controls did not affect holster fit or function. Individual results depend on your specific holster design, but the dimensions are conservative enough to work with most quality holsters for the Hellcat and Hellcat Pro.

Installation and finish options: Direct drop-in replacement of factory components. No fitting required. The standard controls are finished in black. If you choose the chrome set, it includes a set of chrome frame pins to replace the factory blued steel pins. The chrome pin set is only included with the chrome control set. Pins are purely cosmetic and not required for function.
