Apex Wide Flat Trigger – Machined from billet steel and inspired by the work of the late Jim Garthwaite, this trigger measures 0.31 inches wide. The flat face allows your finger to sit lower on the trigger, improving leverage on the pivoting system. This translates to more consistent finger placement and a comfortable, repeatable pull. The trigger is finished with ArmorLube™ Duplex DLC, a matte black coating that offers superior resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and wear compared to standard DLC finishes. Apex Tank Tread Hammer – This hammer draws from the classic 1911 Commander design but adds Apex’s signature cocking serrations. It includes an over-cocking limit pad that prevents the hammer loop from contacting the inside of the beavertail on the OPS Variant during cycling. The hammer hook geometry is precisely matched to the included Hi-Power Balanced Sear, so you don’t need to stone or adjust engagement surfaces. The result is a hammer that cocks easily, avoids hammer bite, and delivers a crisp break with reduced overtravel.
Hi-Power Balanced Sear – The nose geometry of this sear is engineered to pair exactly with the Tank Tread Hammer’s hook profile. This eliminates guesswork and the need for manual fitting. You get a clean, consistent trigger break right out of the box, with zero trigger over-run.
Sear Lever Spring – Replaces the factory spring to improve the trigger pull while maintaining factory drop safety values. This spring works with the other components to reduce creep and stacking.
Firing Pin Spring & Hammer Spring – These are required replacements that lighten and smooth the overall trigger pull. They are designed to work in concert with the rest of the kit for optimal performance.
