Apex 5.00″ Slide for FN 509 – ACRO/MPS Slide Cut

This Apex 5.00″ slide for the FN 509 is built for shooters who want a longer sight radius and a refined platform without unnecessary complexity. Designed as a stripped slide, it accepts all factory FN 509 internal components, so you can transfer your existing parts directly from your current slide. You will need to supply your own internals and a 5″ barrel. All internal spaces are machined to accept factory FN parts, and Apex components for the 509 are fully compatible for optimal performance.

The slide features front and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation under any condition. Choose between two serration patterns: Classic or Lightning Bolt. Suppressor-height black-on-black sights are installed by Apex at the factory, giving you a clear sight picture with most optics. The black PVD finish provides durable, low-glare protection against wear and corrosion.

For shooters interested in recoil management, the ported version of this slide includes slide ports that align with the Apex Ported Barrel for the FN 509. These ports allow escaping gases to reduce muzzle rise during live fire. Note that an Apex ported barrel is required for the ports to function correctly; standard or threaded barrels will not activate the porting effect.

Internals and Barrel Requirements

• You will need all factory internals from your existing FN 509 slide plus a 5″ barrel.
• Use your current factory parts, or purchase a Slide Completion Kit from Apex (available only with slide purchase and installed by Apex prior to shipping).
• Alternatively, source new factory FN components from Midwestgunworks.com or Brownells.com.
• Barrel options include: factory 5″ FN 509 barrel, Apex Direct Drop-In Barrel (5.00″, 105-073), Apex 9mm Drop-In Threaded Barrel (5.00″, 105-074), or the upcoming Apex 9mm Drop-In Ported Barrel for ported slides (5.00″, coming soon).

Optic Mount Compatibility

• The slide is cut with ACRO footprint geometry for direct mounting of optics including the Aimpoint ACRO, Steiner MPS, Pandora PB-3, and any other optic designed for an ACRO rail.
• Always check your optic manufacturer’s torque specifications. If none are provided, torque all screws to 20 in-lb (inch pounds) maximum.
• When replacing sights, ensure proper alignment and torque per manufacturer guidelines.
