About the Apex Tactical Thread Protector,

Apex Tactical 105011B Thread Protector – 9mm Black (1/2"x28)

You finally get your hands on a threaded barrel for your pistol—maybe it's a Glock, a Sig, or something that runs 9mm—and the last thing you want is to gack up those fresh threads. That's where this little piece from Apex Tactical comes in. It's a thread protector, plain and simple, but it's done right.

Apex Tactical knows what they're doing. They're not some fly-by-night outfit stamping out parts. They build stuff that works, and this 105011B is no exception. Machined from steel, black finish that holds up to holster wear and range dust, and threaded 1/2"x28 to match your standard 9mm barrel. No wobble, no cross-threading headache. Just screw it on snug, and you're good to go. It keeps the dirt off the threads, protects the crown when you're not running a suppressor or a compensator, and it doesn't add any unnecessary bulk to the front of your slide.

Why pick this one over the cheap plastic jobs you see floating around? Because plastic cracks, especially when you're running hot ammo or if the gun lives in a hot car. Steel holds up. Plus, the profile is low—won't snag on your holster when you're doing drills. And it's made in the USA, which still counts for something.

Now, about ordering.

That's less than a box of decent 9mm, and it'll save you from replacing a barrel that got chewed up because you left the threads exposed. If you've got a threaded barrel on your pistol, you need this. If you don't have a threaded barrel yet, well, come back when you do.
