About the Apex Tactical Action Enhancement

Apex Tactical 119113 Action Enhancement Drop-In Trigger – FN FNS Compact

Alright, so you’re running an FN FNS Compact and the factory trigger just isn’t cutting it. That stock polymer setup can feel a little vague, a little spongy. You want something that lets you actually feel the wall, not guess where the break is. This is where Apex Tactical comes in. They’ve been doing this longer than most, and they don’t mess around with gimmicks. The 119113 is a full drop-in Action Enhancement Kit – trigger, trigger bar, and sear – all in one package. No fitting, no filing, no sending your frame off to a gunsmith for a week. You open the box, swap out the guts, and you’re back in business.

Let’s talk numbers. Apex claims you’ll land right around the 5.5-pound pull weight. That’s a solid middle ground – light enough to keep your shots on target during a long range session, but still heavy enough that you’re not flirting with a negligent discharge if you carry this thing. More important than the weight itself is how it gets there. The stock trigger has a long, mushy take-up that makes you work for the reset. This kit cuts down pre-travel, over-travel, and total trigger travel. The uptake is smooth, almost glassy, and the break is crisp. Not “crisp for a striker-fired gun” – just crisp, period. Reset distance is shorter too, so you can rip follow-up shots without waiting for the trigger to catch up.

But the FNS Compact? That’s a gun a lot of guys here picked up off-roster, or brought in from out of state. And if you’re running one, you know the trigger is the weak link. Apex designed this kit specifically for the FNS Compact – not a universal part that kinda-sorta works. The patent-pending design replaces the factory polymer trigger with a solid, machined unit that doesn’t flex. You feel the sear engagement, not the plastic bending. It’s a direct drop-in, so if you can field-strip your pistol, you can install this. No special tools, no jigs, no swearing at the workbench.

California, Texas, Florida, New York – doesn’t matter. And since this is a trigger kit, not a firearm, it ships direct to your door. No transfer fees, no waiting period. Just order it, install it, and get back to the range. Apex Tactical stuff works. Guys put them in their carry guns and competition guns alike. The FNS Compact is a solid platform, but the trigger was always the compromise. Apex fixed it.

That’s a fair price for what you’re getting – a sear, a bar, and a trigger that are all engineered to work together. You’re not buying a cheap trigger shoe and hoping it mates up with your stock parts. This is a complete system. The install takes maybe twenty minutes if you’ve done it before, forty if you’re following a YouTube video. Either way, it’s the single best upgrade you can make to that pistol. The stock trigger on an FNS Compact is around 6.5 to 7 pounds with a gritty take-up. This kit shaves off a pound and a half, cleans up the pull, and gives you a reset you can actually feel.

One thing – make sure you’ve got the right model. This is for the FNS Compact, not the full-size FNS or the FNX.

Bottom line: If you want a better trigger on your FNS Compact, this is the one. No filing, no fitting, no sending your gun off for a week. Drop it in, test it at the range, and you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. Apex Tactical makes good stuff.
