About the Springfield Ronin 10mm 1911

There is something deeply satisfying about a 1911 that balances old-school craftsmanship with modern performance, and the Springfield Ronin 10mm 1911 semi-auto pistol with wood grips delivers exactly that. Springfield Armory has taken the classic Government model profile and given it a purposeful twist, chambering it in the powerful 10mm Auto round. The result is a pistol that shoots flat, carries authority, and looks right at home on the range or in the field.

Overview

The Springfield Ronin 10mm 1911 semi-auto pistol with wood grips is built for shooters who want a full-size 1911 platform with the extended reach and energy of 10mm ammunition. It features a forged carbon steel slide and frame with a hot-salt blued finish that holds up well to regular use. The wood grips are checkered and contoured, offering a secure hold without being overly aggressive against your hands. This is not a safe queen. It is a working pistol meant to be shot, holstered, and relied upon. The 5-inch barrel gives you a solid sight radius and helps tame the 10mm recoil impulse, while the crisp single-action trigger breaks cleanly at around 4 to 5 pounds. If you are looking for a 10mm 1911 that feels like a classic but performs like a modern defensive handgun, the Ronin is hard to beat.

Features & Specs

Springfield Armory did not cut corners when they spec'd out the Ronin 10mm. It comes standard with features that used to be reserved for custom builds, and the fit and finish are noticeably tight. Here is what you can expect out of the box:

• Forged carbon steel frame and slide with a durable hot-salt blued finish
• 5-inch hammer-forged barrel with a fully supported ramp for reliable 10mm feeding
• Checkered walnut wood grips with the Springfield cross-cannon medallion
• Low-profile three-dot sight system with a dovetailed front and rear
• Extended beavertail grip safety with a memory bump for a high-hand hold
• Thin-profile ambidextrous thumb safety for right- or left-handed shooters
• Stainless steel guide rod and a full-length recoil spring system

The magazine capacity is 8+1 rounds of 10mm, which gives you a solid balance of firepower and grip comfort. The trigger is a forged aluminum skeletonized trigger with an adjustable over-travel stop. This is a production 1911 that feels like a semi-custom piece in your hands.
