About the Springfield XD 40 S&W

The Springfield XD 40 S&W Sub-Compact Black (Compliant) delivers reliable, duty-grade performance in a concealable package. Every component is engineered for defensive carry, from the forged steel slide to the polymer frame with integral grip safety.

Overview

The Springfield XD 40 S&W Sub-Compact Black (Compliant) is a striker-fired, semi-automatic handgun designed for concealed carry and personal defense. Its sub-compact frame reduces overall length and height without sacrificing magazine capacity or control. The black Melonite finish resists corrosion and holster wear, while the grip texture provides a secure hold under recoil. This model ships with the compliant features required for sale in jurisdictions with capacity or feature restrictions, making it a straightforward choice for lawful owners.
