Description
The Apex Grade 9mm Gunsmith Fit Threaded Barrel is designed for shooters who demand measurable accuracy from their Smith & Wesson M&P. This barrel is built to deliver sub-one-inch, 5-shot groups at 25 yards when properly fitted to both the slide and frame of your pistol. That level of precision means tighter shot placement at the range and consistent performance when it counts.
Machined from heat-treated, premium cold hammer stainless steel barrel blanks, this barrel features a 1:10” twist rate and Apex’s proprietary, patented locking geometry. The 1/2-28 thread pattern allows for the attachment of compensators or suppressors, and each barrel includes a white stainless thread protector. Trusted by law enforcement and approved for duty use by multiple LE agencies nationwide, this barrel is built to meet rigorous standards.

Important installation note: If you are installing this barrel into a slide with a Loaded Chamber Indicator (LCI), you will need to purchase and install the Apex No Profile Loaded Chamber Indicator Block, or remove the LCI entirely.
Caliber conversion use: This barrel can function as a caliber conversion barrel for your M&P or M2.0 chambered in .40S&W or .357SIG. Installing a properly fitted Apex 9mm barrel into a .40S&W or .357SIG pistol allows you to shoot 9mm ammunition. You will need to use a 9mm magazine for proper function. We strongly recommend using these barrels in a conversion capacity for training or practice only. For life-safety use, purchase your pistol in the intended caliber.
Barrel hood side gap: When the 9mm barrel is installed into a .40S&W or .357SIG slide, you will notice a gap on either side of the barrel hood. This is normal and has no effect on accuracy or function.
Extractor notes for conversion use: If you experience extraction or feeding issues during caliber conversion use, we recommend removing the extractor and thoroughly cleaning the hook and the inside of the slide.
