Description
The Apex Optic Mount provides a direct, secure mounting solution for RMR footprint optics on select FN MRD pistols. Designed specifically for use with the FN Low Profile Optics Mounting System™, this mount interfaces directly with the factory slide cut — no additional MRD Key Insert or adapter plate is required. This keeps the optic mounted lower to the slide, which can aid in maintaining a consistent sight picture and allows for co-witnessing with standard-height iron sights on many setups.
Each mount includes precision-machined screws with a factory-applied High-Temperature Thread Locking patch. This pre-applied patch eliminates the need for liquid thread lockers, simplifying installation and reducing the risk of over-application or mess. The mount is constructed from steel for durability and designed to maintain zero under regular use. For California buyers, this mount is a straightforward path to adding a red dot to an FN pistol without modifying the firearm’s internal components or magazine capacity — fully compliant with state regulations.
