Straight up: the factory hinged trigger on the Shield 2.0 is serviceable, but it ain’t crisp. This drop-in kit from Apex Tactical fixes that without messing with your safety. You get a solid aluminum trigger body (no more plastic hinge), a center-mounted pivoting safety that keeps factory drop-safe values intact, and a noticeably shorter, more consistent pull. Expect about a 1–2 lb reduction in pull weight and roughly 20% less pre-travel and over-travel. Reset becomes tactile and audible—exactly what you want for a carry piece or duty use.
This kit is built for the M2.0 Shield in 9mm or .40 S&W. Will not fit the original Gen 1 Shield or the .45 ACP model. Installation is straightforward for someone who’s done a few trigger jobs, but Apex strongly recommends a gunsmith install the Ultimate Striker Block (USB) into the slide. We back that call.
