This Blemish Action Enhancement Trigger is mechanically identical to our standard Apex kit, but it’s offered at a steep discount due to a cosmetic flaw from the anodizing process. The result is a dark red matte finish that differs from our advertised color. The trigger functions perfectly within our tolerances, and the blemish is limited to the appearance.
This is a complete drop-in replacement kit. It includes the Apex Action Enhancement Trigger, an Apex Trigger Return Spring, and an Apex Striker Spring. You get a direct swap for the factory polymer trigger and springs, with no fitting required. After a short break-in period, expect a crisp break with a reduced pull weight of 5.0 to 5.5 lbs. The kit also delivers a smoother pull, shorter trigger travel, and a reduced reset while maintaining all factory safety values. This means more consistent shots and faster follow-ups, especially important for a defensive carry pistol in California.
This specific trigger is our “Type 3” version. Compared to our classic Hellcat triggers, it features a chamfer at the front corners (instead of a radius) and additional decorative face cuts on the visible sides. The performance is identical to the classic line, but the look is more angular and modern. Note that these blems are laser-marked with a small line to indicate their status. That line is not visible when the trigger is installed and the slide is on the frame.
