This British 1876 socket bayonet has a 21 and three-quarter inch blade dated 1888. The fitting is missing its locking ring, so the piece is incomplete as listed. It is a used bayonet in the British bayonets group of the catalog under SKU MEW3733, and the date on the blade is a clear identifier for the buyer.

The bayonet suits a collector of British military edged pieces who wants a dated example from the late nineteenth century. Because the locking ring is absent, a buyer who wants the complete assembly should weigh that before ordering. The blade date and the blade length are the two details to compare against reference material, and they are the main points of interest in this listing.
