This fuchi kashira set has a polished copper ground with shakudo branches and leaves across the surface. Gold highlights pick out the design, and the piece is signed Yasu Chika. It is listed as used under SKU MGJ511 in the Japanese swords and fittings group, and it is a fitting for a sword handle rather than a complete sword.

The signed set suits a collector who wants a named maker on a sword mount, and the polished copper ground sets the design apart from darker shakudo fittings. The branch-and-leaf motif is easy to read from a distance, so it works well as a display piece. Read the signature line in the listing and compare it with any reference you already hold before you decide.
