The entire barrel is finished with a corrosion-resistant melonite treatment for extended service life, and it includes a thread protector with a captive O-ring to keep the threads clean and secure when no device is attached.

This part ensures the LCI function is retained without obstruction. No other modifications are needed for standard slides without an LCI.
