If you’re running a Smith & Wesson SD or Sigma, you already know the factory hinged trigger leaves something to be desired. It’s mushy, it’s sloppy, and it doesn’t exactly inspire confidence when you’re at the range or relying on it for home defense. Apex Tactical—the guys who’ve been fixing factory triggers for years—built this drop-in to solve that. No gunsmithing, no fuss.

This is the Apex Tactical 107003 Action Enhancement Trigger. It replaces that stock hinged trigger with a solid, one-piece polymer body that’s got a center-mounted pivoting safety. The face is rounded, so when you pull it, your finger sits on a smooth, comfortable surface—not that sharp-edged plastic you’re used to. It’s a direct swap, meaning you don’t need to file, fit, or send your gun off to a smith. Pop it in, test function, and you’re good.

What does it actually do? It cuts pre-travel by about 20% and over-travel by about 10% compared to the stock trigger. That translates to a shorter, cleaner pull with less wasted motion. You’ll feel the reset snap back more positively. It’s designed to work perfectly with an Apex SD or Sigma spring kit, but it’ll function just fine as a standalone upgrade if you want to keep your current springs. Either way, you’re getting a trigger that feels like it should have come from the factory.

Just make sure your local FFL is ready to receive it.

If you’ve got an SD9, SD40, SD357, SDVE9, SDVE40, SDVE357, or any Sigma variant (SW9, SW40, SW357V, etc.), this drop-in trigger is a solid, no-BS upgrade. Apex Tactical makes it. Simple as that.

Note: This is a drop-in part for most models, but always check your local laws and your FFL’s policies before ordering. No returns on installed parts.
