This Basic Forward Set Trigger Kit is a direct drop-in replacement for the factory trigger and sear lever in your polymer frame Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 pistol. Priced at $110, it focuses on delivering a mechanical change to your trigger system without altering pull weight or smoothness. This kit is designed for shooters who want a shorter, more predictable trigger cycle while keeping the factory pull weight range (typically 4-6 lbs, though your specific results will vary based on your pistol’s factory sear and striker).

What this kit does: It replaces the factory trigger with an Apex solid body aluminum trigger featuring a center-mounted pivoting safety. It also replaces the factory sear lever with an Apex Forward Set Sear Actuator. These two components must be installed together for proper function. The result is a reduction in overall trigger travel by approximately 35%, including reduced over-travel and a shortened reset compared to the factory setup. The Forward Set Sear Actuator moves the striker release point forward, allowing the over-travel stop on the Apex trigger to precisely control where the trigger stops after the break.

What this kit does NOT do: This is not a full trigger job. It does not make the pre-travel or trigger pull any smoother (that requires our Ultimate Striker Block). It does not include replacement springs to adjust trigger pull weight.
